AEI Outfitter, located in Almont, Colorado, has been guiding anglers throughout the Gunnison and Crested Butte Valley since 1984. The company specializes in fly fishing retreats and trips featuring guided adventures on the Gunnison River, Taylor River, East River, Lake Fork of the Gunnison River, and numerous streams, lakes and tributaries in the Gunnison Basin. AEI Outfitter offers both walk-wade trips and float trips, with opportunities to fish in remote backcountry areas for multi-day trips. The remoteness of AEI's base camp has left countless beaver ponds, spring creeks, high mountain lakes, rivers and mountain streams virtually untouched by fishermen. AEI is a licensed member of the Colorado Outfitters Association and operates under special use permits from the USFS, BLM and NPS.
