About
Boots Allen is a third-generation fly fishing guide with over 30 years of professional guiding experience. He guides 130-plus days each year on Wyoming's Snake River and Green River, Idaho's South Fork of the Snake River, and in Yellowstone National Park. Beyond his work as a senior guide for Snake River Angler and The Lodge at Palisades Creek, Boots is an accomplished author of four books on fly fishing, a tournament angler, and custom fly tier. During off-season months, he hosts trips to destination lodges in South America, the Caribbean, and the Pacific, and is known for developing fly patterns for major fly companies.
