David Kumlien, Outfitter

David Kumlien is an Outdoor Life Magazine 2001 Conservationist of the Year who has provided fly fishing guide service and instruction on southwest Montana's finest blue-ribbon trout streams since 1975. Operating as Trout Whisperer LLC (License #281), he offers fly fishing trips on the upper Missouri River and its tributaries including the Madison, Gallatin, Yellowstone, Big Hole, and Jefferson Rivers. He is a permitted outfitter on Gallatin National Forest with Madison SRP permit holder #69 and Big Hole and Beaverhead RUP #99. Kumlien is also the National Coordinator for Trout Unlimited's Veterans Service Partnership and actively volunteers with Project Healing Waters and Warriors and Quiet Waters Foundation.
